SMS messaging program

Recky, LLC operates a single SMS program: one-time verification passcodes. This page describes who sends the messages, who receives them, and why.

Who sends, and who receives

Messages are sent by Recky, LLC— the company behind recky.info and this application at recky.app. Recky makes facility-management software for sports and recreation facilities.

Messages go only to a person who entered that mobile number themselves, in order to verify it. We never purchase, rent, or import phone numbers, and we never message a number that someone else supplied.

Why we send a code

We send a passcode when we need to confirm that the person holding the phone is who they say they are. That happens when you are:

Signing in to your account
Creating or setting up a new account
Confirming that a phone number belongs to you
Verifying it is you before a sensitive account action
Opening a Recky product demonstration

All of these are the same kind of message — a single short-lived passcode you type back into Recky. We do not send marketing, promotions, newsletters, alerts, or any recurring content on this program.

How you opt in

You opt in by entering your own mobile number into a form in the Recky application that tells you a verification code is coming. Today that happens in two places:

Account setup. When you create your Recky profile, you add your phone number and we text a code to confirm it. You then enter that code on the next screen.
Demo access. Someone sent a private demo link enters their name, email and mobile number, then chooses “Text it to me instead” to have the code sent by SMS. They type it in on the next screen to open the demo.

Both forms carry this disclosure at the submit button, and in both cases the very next screen is where you type the code in. Choosing the SMS option is the opt-in — the program is not keyword-initiated, so there are no opt-in keywords. If we add another place that verifies a phone number, it sends this same kind of passcode under this same disclosure.

The demo access form can also send the code by email, and that is its default while this campaign is in vetting. Email delivery is notpart of this SMS program — only the “Text it to me instead” choice sends a text.

The contact form on recky.info is notpart of this program. A phone number left there is used only so we can follow up about that inquiry — it never receives a verification code.

What the opt-in forms look like

Both forms are inside the application behind invite-only access, so they cannot be browsed from the outside. These are screenshots of the actual screens, showing the disclosure exactly as a person sees it before they submit their number.

What we send

A single six-digit passcode that expires in ten minutes. One message per verification attempt.

Message frequency and cost

One message per verification attempt. If you request a new code, you receive one more message. There is no recurring or scheduled messaging, and the program never sends unprompted messages — every message is the direct result of something you just did in Recky. Message and data rates may apply— your carrier’s standard rates for receiving a text.

How to opt out, and how to get help

Reply STOPto any message to opt out. You can also reply OPTOUT, CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, REVOKE or STOPALL. You’ll get one confirmation that you’ve been unsubscribed, and nothing after that. Reply START to resubscribe.

Opting out of SMS does not close your account — it only stops text messages. Because these codes are how we confirm it’s you, opting out may prevent you from completing sign-in or verification, and you will need to contact us for another way in.

Your information

We do not sell your data, and no mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third parties. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions.
